Love & Concern Presents
“DAUGHTERS OF THE KING”, portraying the importance of women in the genealogy of Jesus Christ which is on its way to be enacted in the month of December 2013.
The unfair treatment of girls and women in the developing world is a devastating reality. It results in millions of individual tragedies, which has led to the potential loss in many countries. Discrimination against women has led to their lack of self direction and authority. Although equal rights are given to women, it may not be well recognized. In contrast to today’s world, the Bible exalts women against cultures that distort, degrade, and demoralize them from cover to cover. In fact, BIBLE gives instructions to respect women, to dignify their roles in society and family, to acknowledge the importance of their influence, and to exalt the admirable qualities of women who were particularly godly examples. From the very first chapter of the Bible, we are taught that women, like men, bear the stamp of God's own image (men and women were created equal). Women play prominent roles in many key biblical stories. Wives are regarded as revered, respected partners and cherished companions to their husbands, and not as slaves or pieces of household furniture. So we aim to depict this importance, which God has given to women from Eve to Mary in the genealogy of JESUS CHRIST, in our play “Daughters of the King”.
